Applies to: Naomi, associates/contractors, licensed partners, and anyone using Calm Bridges™/AmbiSense® materials.

1) Non‑negotiables (plain English)

• Child safety comes first. If in doubt, escalate via the setting’s safeguarding route.
• No secrets. Never promise confidentiality where safeguarding risk may exist.
• No clinical positioning. Calm Bridges™ is not therapy and not diagnosis.
• One adult, one lane. Avoid adult pile-on. Keep words minimal.
• Private dignity is operational policy. No public recap, no shame language.

2) 1:1 working rules (in-person and online)

• In schools/AP/residential: follow the setting’s rules and named safeguarding route at all times.
• Visibility: wherever possible, use spaces with appropriate visibility (e.g., glass panel, open door policy as required).
• No closed-door isolation unless the setting explicitly authorises it and it aligns with their safeguarding policy.
• Online sessions: use approved platforms only. Use waiting rooms/passwords. Do not record sessions unless explicit, documented consent and a lawful basis exists.
• Transcription/recording tools: do not use transcription tools for safeguarding-related contexts (see Approved Systems & Storage Map).

3) Physical contact

• Default: avoid physical contact.
• Only use contact if it is:
  • necessary for immediate safety, and
  • consistent with the setting’s policy, and
  • proportionate and recorded.
• Never use physical contact as a behaviour control technique.
